PLOTS OF LAND

Located 500 metres from the Château Grand Corbin Manuel, the 13 hectares of the Château Haut-Cadet are located to the north-west of the Saint-Émilion appellation.

We can mostly find one of the two soil profiles found at the Château Grand Corbin Manuel, namely a highly clay-based subsoil, covered in ancient sands. The vine population is made up of Merlot (92%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%).

“Soft blend, beautiful sweetness, dark color. On the palate, the wine has already been melted and is evolving in bottles towards a complexity of undergrowth, very fine and pleasant. To be drunk and appreciated now.”

“Fresh and perfumed expression. Tannins are still firms and chalky. Lots of relief, spices and minerality. Deep and structured. Long and balanced. Very aromatic and velvety. Very open yet and really good today. Nevertheless, this wine has a beautiful ageing potential.”

“Beautiful fresh and concentrated red color. Spicy nose with slightly smoky notes. Soft and fresh mouth. Nice acidity, pleasant length. Soft tannins. Since its bottling, this 2018 shows a beautiful evolution typical of the vintage. Affordable with a marked structure. Perfumed and long in the mouth.”

“Medium intense color, spicy nose and ripe fruit. Delicate and elegant texture. Same aromas on the nose. Candied fruits well integrated. Normal length and beautiful final taste for this vintage that combines beautiful maturity with superb freshness.”

“The 2020 has an open, very pure bouquet of small black cherries, cassis and crushed violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, structured and saline. Tobacco-laced finish.”
